A couple things about next week – Lunch and PAC Meeting

For those parents who have ordered through the PAC lunch program we are happy to say the first delivery will be on Monday!

A couple things to note about the Lunch:

1.  *** PLEASE SEND UTENSILS! ***  As a way to reduce garbage we do not provide chopsticks or utensils. We ask that parents please ensure you send some with your child.

2. Please pay attention to your Lunch Reminder Emails – The day before your child’s lunch delivery you will receive an email reminder. No email – No lunch delivery

3. Your Child: A couple important things for your child to know –

** Never touch anyone else’s lunch! Even if it their friends! Only take YOUR lunch. **

If your child has any problems with their lunch (other than they just do not like it) please let them know PAC always has at least 1 parent volunteer each day helping out. They can be found outside the main office. Your child can go speak to them anytime and they will help.

We hope you will join us for our first PAC meeting of the school year. It is Wednesday from 6:30 – 7:30pm in the NRP Learning Commons (Library).

All parents are always welcome

PAC provides free babysitting – these are Grade 7 NRP students who have completed their Red Cross Babysitting course.

Thank you

VERY IMPORTANT! Reminder for Parents about Food Drop off Protocol, late arrival drop off and early pick up protocols –

Dear Parents

I wanted to take this time to remind parents that, whether you are dropping your child off to school late, picking them up early for an appointment or dropping off their lunch, please do not walk into the classroom! You MUST go to the main office.

Protocol is that during instructional time (8:55am – 3:00pm) parents must check in at the office. If you are dropping off lunch the office staff will ensure your child gets it before it is time to eat.

There have been incidents already where parents/adults have been wandering around dropping off brown bag lunches or their child’s lunches. Please do not do this.

Why? For the safety of all the students in the school we cannot have adults wandering around. The staff do not know who you are.

If you are a volunteer at the school you will check in at the office and get a badge. This will indicate to staff that you are safe to be walking around.

Thank you for following the rules and helping keep all NRP students safe.

PACkage Information Forms

In previous years PAC has sent home a paper package with useful information about PAC, communication, lunch program, volunteering etc. This year we have decided to continue our efforts to become more green and sustainable by not printing these out. Instead we are utilizing our amazing 21st century technology!

So, please find attached the forms in both English and Chinese:

PAC Lunch Menu opening update

Update: We have been anticipating the MunchaLunch menu being open tomorrow morning. The company has just received the list of teachers and divisions so are in the process of updating the system.

If all goes as planned the menu should be open Friday afternoon or Saturday morning at the latest.

New Parents or those registering for the first time: Go to the PAC Website : https://nrppac.wordpress.com     Once there click on the “Lunch” dropdown tab   Click on “Order Lunch”. There you will find the green MunchaLunch button.  Follow the prompts to create an account

***** Important Message for parents of Kindergarten children: We know you will not find out the child’s division number until next week so please put in DIVISION 1 for now – Once you know the division # please go back into your account and update it *****

Parents with accounts: Once you click open the MunchaLunch icon on the PAC Website you will be instructed to update the teacher/division for your child.

If you run into problems, please try clicking on “MunchaLunch Help” which you can find under the Lunch tab.

If you are still unable to figure it out, please feel free to email Beth at rosepointpaclunch@gmail.com

Thank you

After School Programs (please note these are not affiliated with NRP school), School Clubs

Here is a list of the private, after school programs that have confirmed they are running at NRP: If I hear of more I will post the information out.

2019:20 After School Programs

School Clubs:  As the school year gets underway the teachers will start figuring out what school clubs they will hold. I will do my best to communicate out those as well. As with all school clubs there needs to be a teacher sponsor and, as long as they are the right age, there is no exclusions meaning any child may join.

Thank you

A Final Thank You!

Dear parents,
On behalf of myself and all of the PAC Executives I would like to say a most sincere thank you to each and every one of you for all your support and volunteer time this school year. As parents we are so lucky to have a school that embraces and encourages and welcomes us into the school day.
Without you giving your time school clubs, fieldtrips, the PAC lunch program, camps and PAC events would not be possible.
We would also like to extend our thanks and appreciation to Carm and Lily who are the smiling faces we see in the office and keep the school running.
Thank you to Teena, our wonderful V.P. And thank you to each and every teacher, support staff and supervision aide who not only educate our kids but help provide a safe environment for them to grow and shine.
Of course we also would like to thank Rosa for an amazing 6 years that she has dedicated to NRP and making it the amazing school it is. We will miss you but are so happy you will be lending your talents to launch a new build school.
To all the families not returning we wish you all the best in the future.
To those returning next year we hope to see you at the Welcome coffee/snack event on September 3 from 9:00-10:00am!
Have a safe and wonderful summer!!!!
