Kids-friendly Garden Work Party on Oct. 30 3:30-4:30

kids-friendly Work Party will be held by the NRP garden team.

Here are the details:

We are looking for parent and student volunteers to do some annual maintenance on the rooftop gardens at NRP. The garden is in need of some weeding, soil turning and planting of some seeds. It will be pretty easy work and many hands make light work. It is a great opportunity to see a unique project that Norma Rose Point offers its students.

You can sign up at the following link:

( For volunteers, please meet in front of the office at 3:30 )

Thank you!

Sam (on behalf of the garden team) and the Norma Rose Point PAC

Eco blitz Planting in Pacific Spirit Park / Annual Diwali at Wesbrook

Here is the information about events taking place in Oct. 26th from The Pacific Spirit Park Society and UNA.

Eco blitz Planting in Pacific Spirit Park

The EcoBlitz event is an opportunity for the community to come together for one big planting event. We’re planting firs, cedars, hemlocks, spruces, ferns, and shrubs, all in the hopes of kickstarting this degraded site into its path of natural succession and to provide endangered red-legged frogs with valuable habitat.

Come out and get your hands dirty as we inject life back into our park.
Event runs rain or shine. Dress for the weather!
Planters under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
Snacks and water will be provided.
