Spring Fair Volunteers sign up and Updated Draft PAC Meeting Minutes

Hi all,

So here is the updated DRAFT PAC minutes from the April Meeting. I have had some challenges with editing so my apologies for the multiple versions.

There have been some changes to the draft minutes requested by several parents so we will discuss and vote on each possible change on May 1st at our next PAC Meeting

Draft NRP PAC minutes April 4th 2019-2

SPRING FAIR VOLUNTEER SIGN UP!
Our 3rd annual Spring fair is coming up on May 10th from 3-7pm and we are looking for parent volunteers to help with selling and collecting tickets, supervising games and rides and for our silent auction!
We will be in the schools main entrance in front of the office April 18th from 830-900am and again from 230-315pm for you to come and sign up. There will be 2 shifts on the day of the spring fair:
230-5pm
this will include helping with set up
and
5-730pm
this will include with helping with clean up
Spring Fair is a PAC organized event which is a community event and all the funds raised will go to PAC initiatives, which in the past have included buying school equipment, supporting multicultural fairs and helping to fund activities at local schools that are in financial need.
We truly hope you consider signing up ! These events are not possible without the committed parents at NRP!

Updated PAC Minutes

It has come to my attention that in editing the minutes from our April meeting I forgot to add the names of the 2 parents who spoke about the Math Challenge Club. This was my error and I would like to apologize for the oversight.

Here is the updated version.

In future, if anyone notices an error like this, please feel free to email me a reminder (clearly I am not a professional writer/editor). We can always make edits before we adopt the minutes at the next meeting.

Thank you

Jody

Scholastic Book Fair Teacher Wish List

Dear Parents,

Please see the following message from Ms.Woods:

Have you seen the wish list at the book fair? Come and check out the class wish lists to help add new books to your child’s classroom. Teachers have identifited titles that would make great additions to the classroom library. To grant a book wish, please take the desired title to the Cashier and personalize a bookplate for your child’s teacher. If there is no wish list for your class choose a book you think would be loved by your teacher and fellow classmates.

Lunch Orders – Urgent Notice

Dear Parents,
We have received the unfortunate news that Sushi Sushi will be closing their business effective April 30th. Sushi Sushi is a small, family run business that has supported Norma Rose Point not only through providing lunches but also providing extra lunches (every week) knowing that some children might not have a lunch; they have made financial donations, at the end of the year to the PAC, and have been wonderful in providing healthy and tasty options for students at an affordable price – we will miss working with the ladies at Sushi Sushi and wish them well in their future endeavors.
All Sushi Sushi orders for May – June have been cancelled and accounts have been credited. We will not have a new sushi caterer in place until September, however Calhouns does offer a variety of options on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Thank you
